Records & archives
Locate lawfully accessible public records, historical sources, archive references, property context, and client-authorized documents.

Search & Find is a digital-first research and resource-navigation service, paired with a $10 toolkit for people who want to build a small finding service of their own—or participate through a proposed referral pathway.
The central idea
Records sit in scattered systems. Programs use unfamiliar language. Products disappear into fragmented supply chains. Archives, grants, and public resources can be difficult to navigate when time, mobility, or research experience is limited.
Search & Find turns that friction into a bounded service: define the question, search lawful and client-authorized sources, preserve the evidence trail, explain uncertainty, and return a practical results brief.
Digital-first service lines
The initial model avoids physical searches and licensed-investigator functions. Every engagement begins with scope, source-access, privacy, and jurisdiction checks.
Locate lawfully accessible public records, historical sources, archive references, property context, and client-authorized documents.
Organize family-history questions, identify credible repositories, trace source leads, and document what is known, uncertain, or unavailable.
Research hard-to-source products, suppliers, programs, grants, directories, and practical alternatives using transparent search methods.
Help clients map bureaucratic or information-heavy processes, identify the right office or resource, and prepare a clear next-step brief.
The $10 startup kit
The first-edition launch stack is now packaged for secure digital delivery. Checkout remains inactive until the Stripe account, final license, delivery terms, and support details are approved.
Adapt the plan, choose a narrow offer, use the templates, serve clients directly, and retain the revenue from your own work.
The draft program proposes 20–30% commissions on qualifying kit or service referrals. Final eligibility, attribution, payout, disclosure, and tax terms must be established in a written affiliate agreement before launch.
Inside the source package
The materials cover planning, outreach, finance, funding, pitching, launch, and referrals. Duplicate copies of the landing page and CSV projection were identified during integration and are treated as one resource each.
Launch sequence
The strongest version of Search & Find grows from repeatable documentation and clearly bounded requests—not from promising that every person, object, or answer can be found.
Choose lawful, digital-first services and document what the business will not accept.
Start with a narrow offer, a clear intake form, and low-cost or free operating tools.
Select the appropriate business structure, insurance, agreements, and local licensing review.
Create request screening, source logging, secure records, client updates, and a documented closeout.
Use referrals, community partners, directories, and transparent examples of completed research.
Release the grant tracker, reminders, calendar sync, and contribution documentation after privacy review.
Business model
Illustrative planning scenario
| Year | Revenue | Costs | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $15,000 | $17,000 | -$2,000 |
| 2 | $25,000 | $16,000 | $9,000 |
| 3 | $40,000 | $19,000 | $21,000 |
These are proposal-stage examples, not historical results, a validated forecast, or a promise of earnings. The included spreadsheet is an unfilled planning template.
Open-source pathway
The active GitHub repository includes the request-scoping engine, paid-download architecture, operating templates, privacy controls, tests, and a staged grant-tracker roadmap. It remains private while the final license review is completed; selected grant-tracker and automation components are planned for public release.
A reusable opportunity and grant-tracking workbook with clear field definitions.
Email and calendar helpers with documented permissions and safe defaults.
Intake, scope, source log, results brief, closeout, and referral-agreement templates.
Request-screening rules, privacy guidance, prohibited-use policy, and contribution standards.
Safety, law & privacy
No bypassing access controls, impersonation, pretexting, or acquisition of unlawfully obtained data.
Requests requiring a license, legal opinion, surveillance, service of process, or regulated work are declined or referred.
Requests involving people, contact information, or sensitive records require heightened screening and a legitimate, documented purpose.
Collect only what the engagement needs, secure working records, limit access, and define a deletion or return schedule.
Deliver the method, sources, confidence, limitations, and unresolved questions without promising that a target will be found.
WOSB, DBE, SDVOSB, SBA 8(a), and related designations are planned application paths—not current certifications unless formally awarded.
Current status
Visitors can build and download a request scope now. Commercial checkout will activate only after Stripe, pricing, fulfillment, privacy, and license terms are approved.
