Age Old Wellness · Desktop decision simulator · Prototype v0.4.0

Meet the selves already thinking with you.

The Entangled Self helps you examine one decision from six practical perspectives, compare possible branches, and leave with a short list of actions you can actually take.

A structured reflection tool

One question. Several lenses. A visible decision trail.

Instead of presenting a single authoritative answer, the simulator separates near-term practicality, bold action, risk, values, systems thinking, and long-term consequences. It then identifies shared signals and proposes three reversible next actions.

The “quantum” language is a creative metaphor for exploring decision branches. The software does not measure consciousness or perform scientific quantum simulation.

The perspective panel

Six voices with different jobs.

Each default persona applies a distinct decision lens. Users can revise the panel, turn voices on or off, and keep the process grounded in their own notes and priorities.

Future You

Compounding choices, hindsight, and path dependence.

The working loop

From uncertainty to a small experiment.

  1. 01

    Frame the question

Write the decision, name a branch, and add the values or constraints that should shape the panel.

  2. 02

    Run the panel

Generate the six perspectives, identify their shared signals, and review the proposed actions.

  3. 03

    Compare branches

Test alternate paths side by side and inspect why one branch received the strongest score.

  4. 04

    Save the trail

Journal the result, export it, and return later to evaluate what actually happened.

Prototype capabilities

Useful offline first. Optional connections second.

Deterministic offline mode

Run the same question and branch through a repeatable local decision engine without sending the prompt to an online model.

Multi-branch comparison

Compare named paths, inspect each panel, and use transparent scoring to identify a leading option.

Editable perspectives

Enable, disable, and revise the six starting personas to match the decision you are actually making.

Journal and search

Retain previous panels locally, reopen earlier questions, and search past consensus notes.

Portable exports

Save a panel as Markdown and move journal records through JSONL or CSV exports.

Simulation progress

Earn XP and unlock lightweight achievements for running panels, comparing branches, and selecting a winner.

Optional connected features: the source package includes WebDAV push/pull controls and an optional OpenAI-powered persona mode through a local Rust proxy. These require user configuration and should not be treated as active hosted services.

Release truth

The product page distinguishes working code from launch scaffolding.

The uploaded archive is a source package. It contains no verified retail installer, production updater configuration, active Steam listing, or approved customer download.

01

Implemented in the source package

Offline panels, consensus, three next actions, branch comparison, local history, exports, persona editing, WebDAV controls, and simulation progress.

02

Prepared for packaging

Tauri desktop configuration, Windows and Linux targets, signed-updater workflow scaffolding, and SteamPipe templates.

03

Required before release

Production updater endpoint and signing key, assigned Steam app ID, completed Steam achievement bridge, tested installers, final license, support terms, and checkout.

Use boundary

A thinking aid—not an oracle.

The Entangled Self is an educational productivity and reflection tool. Its generated perspectives are prompts, not facts, diagnoses, predictions, or professional advice. It is not a substitute for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or emergency guidance. Important decisions should be checked against reliable evidence and qualified human judgment.

Planned release

$29.99 for the desktop app.

The sales page now explains the planned app and starter-pack editions while checkout remains closed until the installers, license, delivery, support, privacy, and refund terms are approved.
